Singapore – 18 February 2019 – Singapore’s leading personal finance website, DollarsAndSense.sg (“DollarsAndSense”), announced the acquisition of local financial planning startup fundMyLife.
Started in 2017, fundMyLife connects consumers with a financial planning or insurance question to a curated pool of trusted financial advisors via a private Q&A platform. This allows users to receive answers from qualified financial professionals, while maintaining their privacy and being empowered to choose if and when they wish to contact financial advisers for follow-up consultations.
For financial advisers, the platform serves as a digital presence that they can tap on, allowing them to showcase their accomplishments, client testimonials and to value-add to prospects who have already shown an intent to make a financial planning decision. By gaining access to a self-selecting group of potential clients, financial advisers can cut down on other costly and inefficient methods of obtaining leads, while dedicating more time and energy to their profession – giving better quality advice to prospective clients.
With the acquisition of fundMyLife, DollarsAndSense will add to its growing media business an innovative insuretech platform for consumers. The move will also give the company better insights into what consumers are looking for, as well as identify gaps in Singaporeans’ financial planning knowledge.
Since 2017, DollarsAndSense has been working closely with fundMyLife on multiple areas, including affiliate partnerships, content marketing and improving engagement with the financial adviser community.
During the transition, fundMyLife co-founders Jackie Tan and Wesley Goi will remain on board to ensure continuity and aid a seamless transition.
