1. One of the tips is to specify your workplace area.
  • I personally use this method as it would help reinforce to me that if I were to get into this specified space, it would help reinforce my mind to work on a task.
  • It would not be costly to set up as you can use red tape, curtains, or any tool that would help you mark an area you desire
  • You can also set certain requirements in that specific work area as well. For example, if you would want to focus on your work in that area, set your phone on silent mode or don't even bring it to the area at all.
  • To apply this tip, you would have to be disciplined to adhere to the requirements you set in that area as this would help you transition it into a routine
  • Do check out this Youtube Video for more details.

2. Another tip is to invest in WFH equipment

  • This tip may not be applicable to those with insufficient capital, however, I do believe that this is one of the ways to improve your WFH experience.
  • With an investment into a stable internet plan, you can optimize your work performance as there won't be time wasted on buffering pages or unstable connections.
  • With an investment into a webcam or a microphone, it would work wonders to improve the quality of your work as you won't face blurry video quality and unclear voice. This would also show your professionalism in a Zoom meeting.

3. Lastly is to take care of your mental and physical health

  • This tip often goes under the radar as we would always sit on a chair and look at the screen all-day. Therefore, it is important to set breaks individually
  • You can do a body stretch, go for a walk, or even take a power nap which would suffice.
  • This also ties back to the second tip as well that you can choose to invest in a comfortable chair especially when we would be sitting all the time or a laptop stand to help with your eye level to the screen.
  • With these, you can think more creatively and strengthen your persistence throughout the day.
