People are expecting 2022 to be a recovery year for both the economy and labor market.

While COVID-19 will still be very much omnipresent, its danger will start to decline as newer vaccines, medications, and disease prevention protocols are in place. More people will develop immunity too.

We can expect an increase in gatherings / large events, which will gradually see the events/offline industries recover - labor market in these areas will recover too.

People will also return to the office, although at reduced capacities. The market for commercial property will still remain soft, but it will gradually improve.

Digitalization will still rise rapidly, with a focus on O2O (offline-to-online) / hybrid models. Companies will also invest heavily into automation and anything that will reduce human contact. This may result in improved efficiencies in certain areas, followed by job cuts.

Investors that failed to deploy capital due to uncertainties from the last 2 years will start to aggressively invest across recovery (and digital) sectors, opening up a lot more job opportunities.
