Grab acquires Singapore’s Bento Invest

Based in Singapore, Bento Invest is a robo-advisory startup, offering a platform built for banks, wealth managers, and brokers to urge clients to invest regularly.

As part of the deal, Bento Invest will be rebranded as GrabInvest.

With Singapore as its first market, GrabInvest is set to launch products on the Grab app in the first semester of 2020.

Previously, Grab has opened its first cloud kitchen in Singapore as part of its expansion strategy for GrabFood in 2020.

“The launch of GrabInvest brings us a step closer to democratizing access to affordable financial solutions that will help Southeast Asians achieve the financial stability they need well into their retirement years,” Grab Financial senior managing director Reuben Lai said.
