Indonesia’s Ruangguru bags $150 million in Series C funding

This funding round is mentioned as one of the biggest for edtech startups in Southeast Asia.

Ruangguru will use the fresh capital to develop its products and services for markets in Indonesia and Vietnam.

Currently, 80 percent of Ruangguru’s users are not based in Jakarta, showing its product can be distributed effectively.

General Atlantic, coming to Indonesia in December 2018 and opened an office in Jakarta, previously invested in some edtech startups worldwide.

“We are committed to improving a comprehensive curriculum and using AI technology to provide easy-to-understand and enjoyable learning experiences,” Ruangguru Co-Founder & CPO Iman Usman said.
