A Lignar Engineering venture, Lignar Labs fosters, partners, and invests in companies that are mainly but not limited, in the areas of environmental protection, pollution control, and energy efficiency. We invest and help companies with resources such as office space and infrastructure with our long-established networks to grow at all stages – from seed to growth.

With a rich history of 50 years, Lignar started out as a humble family business under the name of Hinly.

It manufactured coffee roasting machines as well as the first coconut shredder machine, which was widely used in Malaya, as it was known then.

To date, as our late Grandfather shared, most of the traditional coffee that Singaporeans drink is still roasted in Lignar’s machines. This includes the 3 in 1 coffees. Such is our heritage.

With the advancement of technology, Lignar diversified its portfolio with
Lignar Engineering – specializing in pollution control. Since then, it has developed into an established name that is well-known, trusted, and highly recommended for its environmental technology throughout Asia. 

Today, our passion is still strongly rooted in creating a better environment for the future.
