About Marshall Wong Jun Yong
Marshall has always been passionate about accounting and finance, numbers and figures, he completed his ACCA studies with straight passes within the minimum time frame. He then works for EY Malaysia in the advisory and transaction advisory department.
In 2015, he left EY to start a career in the personal financial advisory, working up from being an insurance agent. He notice that there's a huge gap in terms of financial education among Malaysians. He also notice that becoming a financial services sales representative (e.g. insurance agents, unit trust agents) have low barriers of entry, thus many of them do not have the qualifications to give proper financial advises. Clients are often misrepresented by buying into a wrong insurance policy or investment funds.
Thus, he is now embarking on a journey to educate Malaysian on the importance of financial education and emphasizing that ones financial health is as important as their physical health.
