Nvidia has removed details about its coveted RTX 4090 graphics card from its Chinese website, sparking supply worries among gamers.
The popular GPU vanished from Nvidia's lineup for China, with only lower-end 4080, 4070 and 4060 models still listed.
This fueled anxiety that the 4090 might be restricted after recent US export control updates on advanced chips bound for China.
Several major Nvidia hardware partners in China also removed 4090 card listings from e-commerce sites like Taobao and JD.com.
Despite the impending export ban, the 4090 remains available in China through retailers and unofficial channels, often at inflated prices.
The US made exceptions for certain consumer AI chips to minimise public impact, which the 4090 seemingly qualified for.
Yet it is now banned alongside data center GPUs like the Nvidia H100 and A100.
