The collaboration was announced recently and aims to increase opportunities for Malaysians through training, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
Google has invested in Malaysia for over 10 years, supporting almost 48,000 jobs in 2022 and contributing an estimated US$2.8 billion to the economy.
The partnership aligns with Malaysia's goals to expand the economy and ensure citizens benefit through digitalisation.
It also supports the country's 2030 National Industry Master Plan to enable businesses to embrace technology.
The companies will provide free digital skills training to 300,000 Malaysians by 2026, helping people use AI, data analytics, and cloud computing.
Google will also explore building a data centre in Malaysia to support digital services.
Joint AI projects are planned in healthcare, education, finance, and more to improve lives and help companies expand globally.
In addition, Malaysia and Google Cloud will work together on cyber security, exchanging threat information and establishing a centre of excellence.
