Chinese major electric vehicle manufacturer, Li Auto recently unveiled its first multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
The 7-seater Li Mega MPV marks the company's entry into the family vehicle segment, which is the largest car market in the world.
The Beijing-based automaker aims to make the Li Mega MPV a benchmark for comfort and driving experience in China's MPV category.
Liu Jie, Li Auto's vice president, said the vehicle will create a "mobile home" for families.
It will be priced under US$82,819 when deliveries start in late February 2024.
Production of the Li Mega MPV will begin at Li Auto's new Beijing plant in February.
This 100,000 units per year facility will be the first to assemble the new model.
The MPV will have a 500-kilometer range with CATL batteries that enable 12-minute rapid charging. It can accelerate to 100km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
Li Auto was founded in 2015 and competes with Tesla as a top Chinese EV maker.
It broke monthly sales records for 7 straight months, delivering over 40,000 vehicles in October.
