We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Finance & Accounting leader who is responsible for implementing financial processes and systems across the organization as Ridecell continues to grow. We’re seeking a candidate who has a passion for numbers and how they transform the strategy, accountability, and operations of the company as a whole; someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and understand the numbers of our customers, business strategy, and internal operations. This role will actively partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across Ridecell in addition to leading the finance organization. 

 

The Role

  • Primary liaison between the finance team and operations
  • Leverage scenario planning to help stakeholders see around corners and make optimal decisions
  • Inform KPIs to craft scorecards to assess and measure performance of our operations
  • Responsible for strategic and tactical financial operational planning
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
  • Manage the development of all weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation and communicating to your Operations partners
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional connectivity to gain alignment on a financial forecast working with various teams including Product Development, Marketing and Customer Support
  • Oversee supplier and logistical partner selection, contracts and performance review; review contract clauses, evaluate supplier/logistical execution capability according to the requirements, and review whether the clauses meet operating standards and standard processes; ensure supplier/logistical partner performance continuously meets quality and delivery requirements
  • Review and establish operations financial performance metrics for measurement, comparison, and evaluation of factors affecting the business
  • Provide leadership insights and a strong sense of partnership to the executive leadership team
  • Responsible for budget, forecasting, and business projections, as well as internal staffing and resourcing

Requirements

  • Proven experience as in a similar role in venture-backed businesses ($10-100Mm ARR)
  • Proven ability to manage a team with competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices for channel-driven SaaS businesses
  • Experience with hardware, manufacturing, and retail financial management and forecasting tools
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for financial analysis and forecasting
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or appropriate experience and track record preferred
  • Highly desired: CPA or other relevant qualification
  • Highly desired: Experience leading a company through IPO and operating as a public company post IPO
