Paladin deploys autonomous drones to 911 calls. Whenever someone calls for help, our drones arrive on the scene of an emergency in under 90 seconds and gives first responders a live overhead view of the scene before they arrive, helping reduce response times and increase situational awareness. Our drones, which all use LTE for unlimited range and control, are currently responding to over 250 calls each week across several cities. Over the next decade, our tech will be in every city across the world helping first responders save lives. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic UAV Operations Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will come with a strong background in either electrical or mechanical engineering and ideally with experience in Quality Assurance (QA) testing.
Responsibilities:
*Execute UAV flight operations, including pre-flight preparation, in-flight procedures, and post-flight analysis.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test UAV systems.
*Conduct comprehensive QA testing of UAV systems and components to ensure the highest safety and performance standards.
*Participate in ongoing research and development efforts to advance UAV technology.
*Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
*Ensure all operations adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.
*Continually update knowledge of new technology trends in the UAV industry.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
*Demonstrated experience in UAV operations, maintenance, and testing.
*Experience in QA testing with a keen eye for detail.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and standards.
*Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred:
*C++ and/or Python knowledge
*Linux experience
*Truck/vehicle experience
