Stayflexi is a Modern Operating System for Hotels and Vacation Rentals backed by Y Combinator. We offer an end to end fully automated Management and Sales engine. We are enabling hotel/vacation rental supplies (rooms and amenities) to be managed, distributed and sold on a flexible basis, under single platform. We are live across 650 properties and seeing exciting traction post pandemic. Great perks joining our team now than later. Prop tech space is big.

Your Responsibilities

1. Gain strong understanding of Stayflexi database and system design.
2. Lead a cross functional team (backend and frontend engineers). Mentor and coach engineers and create growth opportunities for your team members.
3. Champion engineering excellence, establish key metrics and drive continuous operational improvements.
4. Translate and communicate technical strategy related to executing against business objectives as part of the senior leadership team.
5. Collaborate with the operations team to keep track of the outstanding customer issues, pipeline them on Jira and get them resolved in a timely fashion.
6. Collaborate with the Product Manager’s and the leadership team to develop the product roadmap.
7. Manage the projects as per the current tech resources. Ensure the projects are delivered within the desired ETA’s. Develop sprint plans and track the work done by the engineers.
8. Have a strong urge to maintain a flawless product. Work with the Quality Assurance team and develop comprehensive test cases. Achieve code coverage of at least 80 % via automations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field from well reputed engineering institutions.
2. 5+ years’ experience with scaling and maintaining high-traffic, distributed production systems. Has a track record of mentoring / leading high performing teams.
3. Strong grip on the following - Java programming, Multithreading, NoSQL and Relational databases, Building Restful APIs
4. Strong understanding of design/architectural patterns and core web technology.
5. Experience with docker, containers, Kubernetes, Kafka a big plus.
