Fig makes the terminal more productive and discoverable for developers. Despite being used by just about every developer, the terminal has barely changed since 70s. We think this is pretty crazy.
We're looking for a systems engineer to join our platforms team.

- Build Fig's desktop app for macOS, Linux and Windows
- Build Fig's pseudoterminal (Figterm)
- Integrate Fig with different shells, terminals, and popular applications like Docker, SSH, mosh, and tmux
- Design systems to speed up testing and deployments
- Talk to users, ideate on product
- Create delightful user experiences
Key Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with at least one of the following systems programming languages: C, C++, Rust
- Experience architecting and maintaining large applications
- Low-level understanding of how operating systems work: concurrency, threads, processes, file systems
- Strong familiarity with the shell
Bonus Points
- Strong familiarity with Swift and/or macOS apps
- Familiarity with the macOS accessibility APIs
- Experience building a developer tool (even if personal use)
About the Team
- We work in-office in San Francisco!
- We "dogfood" everything we build. If we're not using our own products every day, we've done something wrong.
- We contribute heavily to open source. In fact, most of Fig is open source
- We all care deeply about great DX: developer experience
- We are a startup. We all wear many hats
- We are super active in our community
- We guarantee you will laugh every day
