We are currently looking to onboard a systems biologist with extensive experience in biological network construction and analysis. We are hiring for a full-time position, with an initial 2-month paid “trial period." Applicants must be able to start immediately. If we feel you are a good fit, we will hire you full-time as a core member of our company with significantly improved benefits.

Tentative “2-month” end date: first week of April 2023
Location: Remote / San Francisco.

Required Qualifications (Background):
- PhD degree (completed- we will not consider applicants who are still in school).
- Prior experience in biological network analysis.
- Prior experience dealing with human biological data (e.g., STRING, Reactome, etc.)
- Intimate familiarity with human biology/biomedical sciences.
- Prior industry experience.
Required Qualifications (Skillset):
- Experience constructing a network.
- Experience with Markov models.
- Experience with developing scoring algorithms.
- Experience computing centrality measures.
- Experience doing enrichment analyses (e.g., Fisher's exact test).
Required Qualifications (Other):
- Ability to start immediately.
- Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
- Desire to work in the fast-paced, startup environment.
- Ability to wear several hats.
- Experience in Python and at least one other major programming language (Ruby, C++, Java etc.).
- Commitment to test-driven development and good documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience within a startup.
- M.D. degree.
