About the Role

Routable is seeking a Staff Product Designer to build and craft engaging product moments that improve the customer experience while accelerating business growth. 

The product area for this design role is Routable’s Payment Automation team. The Staff Product Designer will lead the design of large initiatives in this product area and serve as a strategic partner to this team and the Routable EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) organization as a whole. 

The Staff Product Designer will collaborate with product managers, engineers, product and brand designers, and design leadership to design and implement simple solutions to complex B2B SaaS product design problems with empathy and a user-centered approach.

 

Responsibilities

• Design new features and UX improvements to help Routable’s clients and users simplify and modernize their payments workflows
• Lead the end-to-end design process for product initiatives, from effective problem framing through ideation, co-creation, prototyping, user validation, high-fidelity designs, shipping, and refinement based on user and client feedback 
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to define strategy, requirements, and design experiments and product solutions across multiple touchpoints of the funnel
• Through research and analysis, identify growth opportunities and drive outcomes 
• Support design decisions with data and insights
• Serve as a mentor for other designers and elevate the practice of the Design team at Routable

 

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience
• Experience designing enterprise software, preferably SaaS and/or financial services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellence in product thinking, interaction design, and visual design
• Ability to inform design direction and deliverables with research and usability testing
• Ability to balance a growth mentality, ambiguity, and design quality standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Location

You must be currently authorized to work in the country you reside on a full-time basis.

Reporting

The Staff Product Designer reports directly to the Director, Product Design.

To help foster amazing relationships with our coworkers, we meet up twice a year as a whole team in some pretty awesome cities! In the past, we’ve met up in San Diego, Seattle, and Austin. We’d rather invest money into memorable team events rather than expensive offices. During our meet-up team time, we love to spend time learning a new skill together, and solving problems. Most recently this has taken on the form of a bread-making class and defeating an Escape Room.

Our salary range for this role is $150,000-$175,000. The exact salary offer will depend on the level of experience, role alignment, internal equity etc. We also offer equity and full benefits packages for FTEs. This only applies to employees residing in the US
