As a Data Engineer you will:
- Build and maintain the entire data stack: ETL, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Reverse ETL
- Work with Engineering and Data Science teams to collect and maintain the data from users for experiments
- Work with Machine Learning teams to help build and maintain infrastructure for learning and inference
- Build tooling for analysis of company metrics
- Build tooling for analysis of internal engineering monitoring
You'll thrive as our first Data Engineer if you:
- Have experience developing data architectures of: ETL Pipelines, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Reverse ETL Pipelines
- Have familiarity with Python and SQL
- Have experience with data transformation tools like DBT
- Have familiarity with Analytics tools like Google Analytics, Segment, Amplitude, or similar products
- Have familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates
- Have 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer at a high-growth startup
It'd be a MAJOR bonus if one or more of these apply to you:
- Experience with packages like numpy, scipy, and pandas, or data visualization packages like Matplotlib
- Have experience writing and maintaining custom ETL and Reverse ETL pipelines
- Data science experience
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools
- Familiarity with Firestore or similar document-based (JSON-based) noSQL databases.
- Experience with A/B testing (from implementation to analysis)
