About the Role of Senior Android Developer
As a Senior Android developer at FightCamp, you will play a key role in building the next generation of the FightCamp app. Working on the product team, you’ll have the opportunity to solve challenging problems, work with the latest technologies, and extensively contribute to a one-of-a-kind app.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the CTO, the Android team, Product Managers, Designers, and QA to build and maintain a best-in-class app.
What you will do
- Develop customer-facing features in Kotlin to deliver an immersive fitness experience that leverages Bluetooth-enabled Motion Trackers and Video Content Streaming.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, maintain and ship new features in a reactive work environment
- Have an important voice in our product and software decisions
- Evangelize clean and structured code; provide code review and feedback to other team members
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Evaluate new and existing frameworks, technology, platforms, and tooling
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building Android applications
- Released at least one app to the Google Play Store
- Expert-level proficiency in Android Studio, Kotlin/Java, Android SDKs, and Android Architecture Component
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, Hilt
- Advanced working knowledge of core web technologies, including APIs and protocols (e.g., HTTP, REST, JSON)
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns such as MVVM
- Experience working with Bluetooth Low Energy on Android
- Experience working with Espresso
- Experience implementing reactive user interfaces
- Familiar with version control systems such as Git
