Special Projects - Product Consultant

Company Background: 

GoGoGrandparent’s (GoGo’s) mission is to help older adults live independently in their home for as long as possible. To accomplish this effort, we tailor existing on-demand APIs to the needs of people living with mobility, visual, cognitive and dexterity impairments. Our service is a virtual caregiver that monitors the instrumental activities of daily living (mobility, meals, groceries, medication delivery & home management) for tens of thousands of older adults around the United States. Our team of 400 and growing operates profitably without any institutional venture capital to date. The company was started in 2016 and inspired by the cofounder’s grandmother, who still uses us to this day.

Job Summary:

GoGo has a number of technical and creative special projects that we’re looking for someone to take on. This is a one-person band type opportunity where you’ll have wide autonomy to find a solution anyway you see fit, but without many extra resources from the team. This work rolls up directly to the CEO. The first two special projects are below. 

Special Project #1:

Design a “gifting box” that GoGo can sell on Amazon, similar to Storii: https://www.amazon.com/Storii-Service-Automatic-Transcription-Keepsake/dp/B0BFRWN38C

In addition to the design, source a manufacturer of the box. 

Write a spec for our engineering team together with our CEO that would allow them to associate box sales to user accounts. Own the Product Management of that spec to deployment. 

Work within our Amazon Account to set up this SKU and help us market the product to customers to generate our first twenty 5-star reviews.

Special Project #2:

Source or configure an off the shelf IOT product that is easy to charge, uses cellular networks and can send an API call with a unique identifier to a remote server with a single button push. This can’t be a device that relies on a cell phone. It should charge by resting in a tray or cradle and not rely on a user to plug in a cable, similar to phones like this photo.

Spec out a webhook for that API call and Product Manage that spec with our engineering team to deployment.
