Solution Architecture sits at the intersection of technical expertise and business experience.  Holistic consultative approaches drive customer value generation. Reporting to the Manager of Solution Architecture, this technical expert will be instrumental in ensuring customers continue to add value with their data and in turn grow usage within our existing customer base through opportunity discovery and execution of Fivetran’s continuous adoption framework. Solution Architects will also work to improve customer experiences that start in the sales cycle and extend through all post-sales functions including Customer Success and Support.

This technical expert will ensure delivery of technical success across the full customer journey including establishing the technical win in coordination with sales engineering, building flawless customer onboarding experiences, customer care, ongoing engagement, consumption growth, and net revenue retention. This technical expert will act as an internal advocate for customers and bring the voice of the customer into the rest of the organization to share perspectives leading to an increase in meaningful outcomes and increasing business value to our customers.

In addition to the requisite passion, skills, and experience, this technical expert will have a consistent track record in leveraging their expertise through others, enhancing the knowledge and skill level of colleagues and building and executing mid to long term data strategies within multiple customer environments.

Customer Success at Fivetran isn’t about by-the-numbers ‘check-ins’ with customers - our regular customer conversations are informed by a deep empathy with our customers’ business needs, and a data-driven understanding of their current product usage. Solution Architects will get the customer and product exposure to continue to develop into a subject matter expert in the fast-growing data and analytics space. As a Solution Architect you will work with some of our largest customers ensuring they are best leveraging Fivetran to power their data needs.

As a Solution Architect at Fivetran you will consistently deliver the following:

  • Manage, track and ensure successful initial onboarding for new customers and significant ongoing customer projects bringing in new connectors.
  • Leverage and codify their knowledge increasing knowledge of Customer Success team
  • Identify and convert opportunities for enhancement, usage growth and enablement for customers, partners and colleagues through proactive conversations

  • Communication:

  • Industry Expertise:

Market:  High or expert level knowledge of the modern data stack.  You also hold unique perspectives on how to architect and utilize MDS to generate value with customers

Domain:  Consulting, demos, enablement, Customer Success, Support - a holistic view of taking a customer from day 0 throughout their customer lifecycle. Specific industry domain knowledge in marketing, sales, supply chain, usage analytics

Technology:  Must have experience with one or more within each of the following groups

  • Modern cloud platforms; AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform - certification preferred, architect level knowledge required
  • Working with modern SaaS app API’s such as Salesforce, Marketo, Zendesk and clear understanding of varying data formats (json, xml, delimited, log, etc…)
  • Highly proficient in one or more standard databases; MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, PostGres, etc…
  • Troubleshooting using log search systems; splunk, sumo cloudwatch etc...
