Software Engineering Manager (AI Team)

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-depth research on emerging machine learning technologies and provide insights and recommendations to the organization.
2. Use AI technologies and APIs to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency through automation and other means.
3. Lead a team of engineers in the design and development of AI-powered solutions that meet the needs of Magic's core business.
4. Implement software solutions and conduct code reviews.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas where AI can be leveraged to drive innovation and growth.
6. Develop and implement best practices for AI development and deployment.

Requirements:

1. A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Must be willing to work on Philippine time zone (GMT+8) (commit to ~10 hours / week overlap with core PH hours)
3. 5+ years of experience working with AI products and deployment, including experience leading teams of engineers.
4. Background in working and interacting with existing AI APIs
5. Extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their applications.
6. Strong programming skills (JavaScript - preferably React, Next, Node) Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams.
7. 2+ years’ experience managing/leading engineering teams
8. A passion for staying current with emerging AI technologies and trends.
9. Nice to have: experience with AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
