The mobile software engineer role at Welcome encompasses architecture, software design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build and release products in a way that upholds the luxury quality of our brand.
Responsibilities
Be part of an inclusive, collaborative team that embraces healthy discussions and supports each other in their goals
Work on a very early version of our mobile product offering, using best practices and laying the foundation for a codebase that will scale for the lifetime of our business
Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver robust and delightful products, continuing to keep the Welcome experience best-in-class.
Master our development process, culture, and code base, then improve it. Continually leave each of these in a better state than when you found
Basic Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Deep experience with at least one native mobile platform (Android/iOS) and one cross-platform mobile framework (React Native/Flutter)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Experience building highly concurrent and scalable mobile applications, understanding of application performance, instrumentation, and monitoring
- Experience with audio and video interfaces on mobile devices, either with core frameworks or abstractions like AVFoundation, Android Media, Audiokit
- Experience with platform specific implementations in a cross platform codebase, e.g. via bridging or method channels
- Track record of being a top performer in current and past roles
