About Social Construct
Social Construct is a startup in San Francisco inventing new ways to deliver better housing, faster and for less, so we can all afford to live in places we love. We are venture-backed and led by an experienced, mission-driven team.
We are committed to an inclusive culture where we support each other so we can do our best work. We are an equal opportunity employer that takes diversity, equality, and fairness seriously in our hiring and compensation practices, as well as in our worldview. We offer a suite of benefits, including stock options, competitive pay, and parental leave.
About the Role
To radically reduce the cost of bringing housing to market, Social Construct is reimagining the process by which we design and construct buildings. The software tools available today for managing the design to construction process work for one or two parties out of a process that requires dozens. Our software is designed to eliminate these problems and bring clarity to every step of the process. We are seeking product minded software engineers who want to work closely with architects, construction professionals, real estate developers, and manufacturers to build a seamless software package that makes delivering housing as fast, affordable, and error-proof as possible. As an early hire on a small, fast-paced team, you will:
- Be responsible for owning products and features end-to-end, seeing them through from conception to delivery.
- Translate product requirements into clean, functional code.
- Have autonomy and high impact to drive technical specifications on the development of digital design tools that improve the building design and construction coordination process.
- Code the full stack to translate user stories into practical user interfaces and scalable data models.
This company is based in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco with walking access to MUNI, CalTrain, and free street parking. We are open to applicants who would work remotely.
