The role
As a Social Media and Events Manager at Verto you’ll report directly to our VP of Growth and work closely with the rest of the Marketing and Growth functions to execute the wider digital marketing strategy. You’ll be developing and executing an engaging social media strategy as well as building engaged communities through in virtual & in-person events.
Success in this role requires the ability to stand in the customer’s shoes and seek out opportunities to engage with them in new ways, both online and offline. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where you are equally as confident building plans as executing them. This role requires a forward-thinker with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a highly organised way. We’re looking for a self-starter who thinks outside the box and thrives on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight.
What you will be doing:
Managing the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook etc and adapting content to suit different channels
Managing and facilitating social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
Monitoring, tracking, analysing and reporting on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
Researching and evaluating the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of delivering and measuring social media activity
Developing, producing, and measuring alternative marketing campaign programs from non-traditional presence events to thought leadership events.
Managing event production and delivery (eg. in-team, vendor and agency management, logistics, promotion, additional materials etc.).
Analysing competitor activity and keeping up to date with the latest digital media technologies and trends
