Responsibilities:
- Understand the product, market & business metrics. Become a product evangelist first.
- Understand how organic growth from google search fits into the overall growth model.
- Be responsible for driving intent traffic to EduRev web pages using SEO. This would typically involve on & off-page optimizations, blogger outreach for guest blogging, building backlinks, and so on.
- Run ASO experiments
- Run experiments at scale to test hypotheses and move traction generating MVPs to full-fledged acquisition products.
Requirements:
- You have 4-7 years of experience working on search engine optimization for a consumer brand with web products. Edtech SEO experience would be a plus
- You understand how to go from 1 to 100 on SEO from a technical & content (creation + distribution) SEO point of view
- You know how to get on-page optimization including site structure analysis, competition analysis, keyword research, finalization, density analysis, and placement
- You understand web content optimization, HTML validation, creation of XML site map, content development stack, brief keyword competition review tags & anchor texts
- You understand off-page optimization including directory submission, article submission, press release submission, link building, etc. essentially you being in the content ecosystem is the core
- You know how to visualize, understand, and action data from Google Analytics & Webmaster tools
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, believe in first principles, and have the skill to transform broad ideas into action plans
