Senior Software Engineer

Your role:

We are seeking a full stack developer to build products that streamline both our backend operations and frontend user experience. You will be tasked with leading the development of a vertically integrated tech stack for our multi-concept kitchens, building some nodes from scratch while integrating existing off-the-shelf solutions where appropriate.

As an early member of the team you will have significant autonomy, and be involved in both the day-to-day and strategic decisions of Byte Kitchen. You will steer the direction of our technology products, and join an engineering culture that champions empathy for the end user. Responsibilities:

Build and guide our growing team and evolving product as an early technology team member

Develop an in-depth understanding of our business model, space, and end user

Assist in developing our technology roadmap for both the near and long term

Work closely with the founding team on product direction decisions and strategy

Approach tired problems with impassioned energy and creative solutions

Work with the founders to attract and employ likewise impassioned engineers set on bringing BK's vision to life.

Ideal experience:

4+ years experience as a full stack engineer/ solutions architect

Proficiency in front end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Javascript Frameworks (React)

Proficiency in server-side languages (NodeJS ideal)

Experience with Cloud (AWS, Firestore ideal)

Comfort with Database technology (MySQL, Postgres)

Experience building products from scratch

Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Bonus:

Startup experience / experience in food tech or logistics companies
