The role:

The Senior Software Engineer, Growth Team will develop and test new software solutions to meet customer requirements through team and individual efforts. You’ll participate in the analysis and composition of requirements, the design of architectural and component software features, system design and implementation, test plan design and implementation, and documentation of final product. You’ll work closely with the Product Growth team to provide continuous feedback on new products.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• The ability to leverage analytical skills for experimentation and learning.
• Familiarity and experience with the Lean Startup methodologies, with a passion for building minimally viable products that help foster learning.
• Strong technical skills, including an understanding of software development principles, and consistently applies these skills in the context of medium-sized features, or well-scoped larger features. Able to “clean as they go” in brownfield code as appropriate.
• Fluency in at least one major programming language used by LTSE Software, such as Ruby, Python, PHP, or JavaScript. Able to work in other languages and technologies as assigned.
• Willingness to dive into new projects and technologies with curiosity, and a drive to understand.
• The ability to consistently communicate with project stakeholders about expectations, and communicates changes early and often. Able to communicate with external stakeholders about their work in a manner that represents LTSE positively.
• Exercise judgment to create well-informed technical decisions in situations that may not be clear-cut.
• Proactively seeks to understand the relative priority of work tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Clear technical communicator.
• Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines, multi-task & support multiple priorities. Capable of delivering on multiple priorities with little or no supervision.
• A growth mindset, takes responsibility for their personal development, handles change with maturity, and assumes the best intent in others.

Experience:

• 5+ years of applicable experience
• Either a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or another field which requires programming coursework (e.g. Mathematics, Economics), OR a certificate of completion from a software development “bootcamp” program, equivalent to 3 months’ full-time study.
