About You and the Role:
You are an experienced backend engineer with years of experience working with AWS and large datasets to support web/native apps and data analytics. You'll be joining a small team of skilled engineers all reporting directly to our CTO.
Together you and the team will plan and execute our technical/product roadmap. You will architect and build backend features, review code, write tests, maintain infrastructure, and help define best practices. You thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments that require you to wear many hats and think on your feet. You’re independent, you lead by example, and you’re obsessed with building great products.
This is primarily a backend role, although there will be opportunities for full stack work if you are interested.
This is a remote position and we are targeting US/CAN applications, worldwide could be considered for the right applicant.
Experience:
Must Haves:
- 5+ years backend software engineering working on production applications
- AWS (RDS, lambda, Glue, Elastic Search, S3, CDK, Dynamo, etc.)
- Javascript
- Python
- Data warehouse architecture, ET
- RDBMS (Postgres, RDS, etc)
- Database optimization SQL/no-SQL
- Data Modeling
- GraphQL
- CI/CD workflows

About Us:
Trusty is a San Francisco based startup who is part of the Y Combinator W22 batch. Along with YC, we have amazing investors and advisors helping us to build a world class company. Trusty is creating an off-market real estate marketplace to give homeowners more options when selling their home and giving buyers access to untapped home inventory in a time when inventory levels are at all time lows.
We are a fully distributed engineering team. Our agile team meets daily at 9am PST for standup/planning/retro. In addition, once a week at 10am PST we review product company wide.
This is a full-time position. Compensation will be a combination of salary and equity depending on experience. For US residents the position is salaried with benefits while international applicants would be consider for a contract position. Both salaried and contract would be awarded equity.
