Interested in a 🚀 startup experience? We’re scaling fast at Zip (YC S2020) and hiring a senior product designer to join our design team!
Zip is tackling the $50B+ TAM space to transform the way businesses manage spend. We started Zip because we saw the challenges companies had using outdated 20-year-old software to manage hundreds of millions of dollars every year. We’re a small but mighty team that helped scale category-defining companies like Airbnb, Pinterest, Facebook, Google, Apple, and Square. We are tremendously user-focused and value UX across the entire company.
As part of our design team, you’ll be responsible for designing Zip’s core products and architecture. You’ll have direct access to our users for UX Research and testing, and the features you design will be immediately used by our users. You’ll work with a tight-knit team that values open communication and cross-functional collaboration. Since we are an early-stage startup, you’ll have the chance to have tremendous impact on future product direction.
Your Role
We're looking to bring on a designer to take our product to the next level. We have a wide product surface area, covering request management, no code workflow builders, dashboards, sourcing, payments, and more.
We move quickly to solve a wide range of complex product challenges with 100% emphasis on end-user experience.
You Will
- Design highly intuitive products and features for complex workflows
- Collaborate closely with our product and customer-facing teams to facilitate UX Research and design thoughtful solutions
- Iterate quickly on designs based on user feedback
- Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and other stakeholders to brainstorm, define, and implement new features and offerings
- Push Zip design culture to new heights by shaping and evangelizing great design practices and discipline
- Mentor junior designers and help scope out projects
Qualifications
- Experience shipping at least one full product or a significant feature as the lead designer
- Experience iterating with engineers and other team members on both visual and UX designs to get the experience and details just right
- Great presentation, collaboration and communication skills
- Empathetic champion for your work’s audience and customers
- Understanding of the technical limitations and workflow for building web interfaces (CSS/HTML/JS) and native mobile apps (Swift, Kotlin/Java)
