Your work will automate surgery in the $452B dental industry and will be deployed to our clinical partners at Harvard-Forsyth to automate surgeries in patients.

Senior Electronics Engineer opportunity

The Senior Electronics Engineer will bring 8+ years of medical device product development experience. In this role, you will source components and systems, design, develop, assemble, test, and troubleshoot circuit boards and electrical assemblies as part of the whole product solution in a regulated market. In addition to designing the electro-mechanical engineering systems, your focus will also include safety, efficacy, innovation, and robustness to maximize the value for our product goals.

Your responsibilities

  • Conceive, design, and integrate electrical subsystems into medical devices
  • Analyze and select components to meet product needs
  • Create schematics, and circuit boards, and develop low-level firmware
  • Simulate and verify designs, document design decisions and results
  • Work under the Quality Management System and related design and development procedures and standards
  • Develop and document products appropriately for manufacturing transfer and submission for regulatory approvals
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or design defects
  • Provide technical assistance when needed
  • Report on project progress as requested
  • Maintain and expand your technical knowledge and skills
  • Any other related duties, as required
  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans; setting and adhering to milestones, deliverables, and budgets.

Job qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ Years of electronics product development experience, ideally with 5+ years in regulated product development or manufacturing environment.
  • Design for Manufacturability/Test; strong mechanical aptitude desired
  • Theory and practice of Design for Electromagnetic Compliance
  • Board layout experience required (Altium software knowledge desired)
  • Familiarity with common bio-medical technologies (electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Will consider demonstrated experience and capability in lieu of academic qualifications
