Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our early, growing team. It is a great opportunity to join a company building a product that can have a material impact on fighting climate change.

You will have end-to-end ownership over our developer platforms and productivity, automation, monitoring, instrumentation, and incident management. Here are some of the challenges that you will be working on:

• Define strategies for managing our AWS accounts with respect to tagging, cost optimization, security of IAM roles and policies, and networking
• Collaborate with the engineering and data teams to define and implement best practices to drive high-availability, reliability and fast performance for core infrastructure
• Create processes for teams and individuals to access system resources
• Collaborate with our engineering and data teams to build and maintain automated CI/CD workflows
• Help create guidelines regarding how to respond to production incidents
• Implement infrastructure as code

About you

• You have 7+ years of experience in roles that give you real-world experience with DevOps, automation, monitoring, and alerting.
• You have extensive experience building, maintaining and scaling infrastructure with cloud providers–AWS preferred.
• You have experience implementing and maintaining infrastructure as code, using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• You have experience implementing security best practices
• You have extensive experience with containerization, and building and maintaining CI/CD workflows
• You have strong knowledge in writing Bash/Python/YAML scripts
• You’re a quick learner with keen attention to detail
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points if

• You have worked with AWS Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Github Actions
• You have worked with MongoDB or other non-relational databases
• You’re experienced with RESTful API standards
• Experience in multi-region environments
