Mach9 is building the operating system for cities. We’re deploying sensors to understand how cities are evolving and changing over time. We’re building a team of the top technologists, thinkers, and hackers looking to define the future of cities to improve the use of the world’s limited resources and prevent infrastructure failures before they happen.
We're looking for someone to take on a project to improve our advanced remote sensing capabilities. You might be tasked with radically improving our SLAM algorithms or training computer vision models to detect anomalies in infrastructure. Experience with SLAM or CV is a bonus, but mathematical maturity and a willingness to learn and explore new technologies is a must.
Mach9 graduated from Y Combinator’s Summer 2021 class and spun out from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon. We leverage advances in robotics technology to solve today’s hardest world problems.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Planning to graduate by May 2023
- Grounding in Computer Science and Robotics fundamentals. You should have encountered some aspect of robotics before, perception, localization, mapping, controls, planning, etc
- Willing to take ownership of a project and to integrate with our technology
Bonus:
- SLAM or computer vision techniques
- C++, Python, and ROS experience
