What we're looking for
Posh is looking for an all-star founding Robotics Engineer to drive the engineering development of our automation line for EV battery disassembly. You are the robotics guru that will make the disassembly of retired EV batteries like a walk in the park. As a member of the founding engineering team, the Robotics Engineer is responsible for developing, releasing, and maintaining the robotics code base that enables various robotics platforms to operate and collaborate.
Responsibilities
- Design and select robotic systems to safely disassemble EV battery pack
- Simulate, operate and iterate industrial robot arms and industrial ground robots
- Use Robot Operating Systems (ROS) to enable various types of robots to operate and collaborate in an industrial context
- Enable robots to solve complex industrial problems such as material flow, parts disassembly, anomaly detections, etc.
- Develop custom application code to enable existing robotic technologies to solve novel industrial problems
- Be responsible for continuous process optimization
- Develop procedures and maintain proper documentation related to the robotic systems
Qualifications
- BS in mechatronics engineering, software engineering, or equivalent experience
- Takes initiative in a fast-paced dynamic working environment
- A self-starter and can quickly adapt to new tools and solve new problems
- Extensive experience in Robotic programming and applications.
- Comfortable with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems related to robotics
- Experience with common robotics programming tools such as C, C++, ROS, Python, OpenCV
Good to have
- Experience with operating and programming industrial robot arms
- Actual hands-on experience building a DIY robotic system from scratch
- Experience in the automotive industry
