Background:
GoGo helps older adults live independently in their homes longer. We have tens of thousands of consumer clients, with over half reporting that because of GoGo they’ve been able to live in their home longer. We’d love the opportunity to “prove” that in a longitudinal study, ideally funded by a national health agency of either the U.S. or Canada. We’d like help understanding the opportunities available to us, and if positive, taking the next step with those opportunities. This is a contract role, but that will likely lead to follow on work. It is not a salaried position.
Project:
Research the available sources of funding for studies like what we’re hoping to achieve from NIH or CABHI. Interview case managers at those agencies for their opinion on how to make a study that could achieve what GoGo is hoping to achieve while also securing funding. Build a cost estimate of how much a study would cost GoGo. Make a presentation on your research.
Depending on the results, we will likely ask for continued support writing the application to do the study. We may also need help soliciting partners to do the study with.
Success metrics:
A presentation that conclusively states whether or not a study that would benefit GoGo is eligible for funding from NIH or CABHI.
A cost model of how much a study would cost
The identification of resources or partnerships required to move forward with such a study.
