Recruiting Manager

Culture Biosciences grows organisms for biotech companies. We've built the first cloud bioreactor facility. Here’s how it works:

1. Our customers, biotechnology companies, design organisms (bacteria, yeast, mammalian cells) to produce products (materials, therapeutics, food).
2. We grow their cells in our bioreactors to optimize the yield of their products. Ultimately, we help our customers get their products to market faster.
3. Our customers receive their experimental results live on our website.

Our cloud bioreactor facility is made possible by custom software and automation technology that our team develops. The automated infrastructure is also more efficient to operate than traditional equipment. Our software also provides quick and simple data analysis, enabling customers to analyze reams of data quickly.

The Role

We're looking for a Recruiting Manager to assist hiring teams across the company and create great candidate experiences.

Meeting our goals as a company depends on us being able to hire effectively and efficiently so we see this role as being critical to the success of Culture's mission.

You will work with hiring managers across the company to level up our hiring processes and improve the experience of folks who interview at Culture. You'll work with a variety of technical (hardware, software, bio) and non-technical roles.

We seek to attract and support candidates from all walks of life and from a diverse set of professional backgrounds. You will help define our processes and lay the groundwork for the growth of our recruiting team.

What you'll do

• Manage the full cycle of talent acquisition at Culture, with multiple simultaneously active processes across the company.
• Manage candidate activities from sourcing all the way through selling and negotiation.
• Report on progress and work in an efficient and transparent way.
• Invent new ways to help Culture keep it’s hiring edge.
• Help ensure we build inclusive and diverse teams as we grow.
• Create and train our team in best practices.

About you

• 5+ years of direct professional experience
• You care a lot about hiring— you're passionate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You’re proactive and a self-starter.
• You’re either already passionate about or curious about how biomanufacturing, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, bio-engineering, and/or synthetic biology can positively impact human health and the planet.
• You’re kind, curious, and enjoy learning new things.
