Our mission: Make security accessible to everyone
Escape is an API Security Company. APIs are the cornerstone of data exchanges on the Internet and the ideal entry point for hackers. Escape develops a unique Artificial Intelligence that allows organizations to find and fix security issues in APIs before it's too late. Thousands of developers of major organizations such as Société Générale, Neo4J and Sorare already use its SaaS platform.
Founded in 2020, it has successfully positioned itself as one of the most promising European cybersecurity start-ups winning the Grand Défi Cyber Prize delivered by the French Government and the ANSSI. In 2023, the start-up joined the Y Combinator accelerator, which fostered its entry into the international competition game as a major security provider.
The founders graduated from Polytechnique & HEC (CTO) and ENSTA & HEC (CEO). Both finished their studies in the United States at UC Berkeley. Missions
As a Python R&D Software Engineer at Escape, you will be in charge of building and maintaining Escape's main product. At the crossroads of high-performance computing, algorithmics, cybersecurity and software architecture, you will exercise high responsibilities, work on state-of-the-art algorithms and have an immediate impact in the success of the company.
Responsibilities
- You will take meaningful decisions regarding the design of our Core Technology that aims to detect security flaws in APIs
- You will research the most efficient and maintainable algorithms to explore complex graphs
- You will develop your cybersecurity knowledge within a highly skilled environment 😉
- You will contribute to open source projects linked to our activity at Escape
- You will write and submit research papers about Graph Theory applied to cybersecurity and Software Quality Assessment
- You will design, implement and support services to analyse the security data produced by our security scanner
- You will help in continuously improve reporting and analysis processes, profiling and optimizing code
Qualifications
Experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
- Experience in test-driven development knowledge
- Experience as a Software Engineer
Skill
- Fluent in Python 3
- A strong interest in Cybersecurity
- Knowledge of APIs design and development (especially GraphQL)
- Proficiency in English (written/oral)
- Proactive and not afraid to share your ideas
Bonus point
- Experience with GitLab
- Are font of Graph Theory
