About the role

Create and execute PopSQL’s go-to-market strategy across self-service and sales assisted motions in partnership with product, sales, and customer success. Quarterback marketing activities across different stages of the marketing funnel by helping identify areas of focus and opportunity.

Distill and communicate the value prop of PopSQL in the minds of our prospects and customers by analyzing the market and competitive landscape, crafting our positioning and messaging, and blending it in with a knack for great storytelling.

Direct and sequence product/feature announcements, enabling our customer facing team with the right mix of programs, assets and collateral to not just nail the product launch, but also the “landing” aka supporting go-to-market activities post launch.

Partner with and enable growth marketing, content/customer marketing, and sales to tell our product narrative with one authentic voice. Done right, product marketing is the messaging API for the rest of the company.
About you

6+ years of experience in SaaS/PaaS/Dev Tool product marketing or related roles.

A passion for storytelling. You can simplify the complex, take data science concepts and challenges (working with our subject matter experts) and make them “Sesame Street” simple.

Experience working directly with technical stakeholders and sales leadership and providing them with the right level of guidance, market context and competitive intelligence to drive consensus and reach key go-to-market decisions. You are equally comfortable acting as the product whisperer as you are being sales’ best friend.

You enjoy engaging directly with customers, learning how we can improve their experiences, and embody customer-centricity in everything you do.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to present complex material to customers, press, and analysts in a compelling way
