About The Role

Product Marketing is a highly cross functional role at Nova, collaborating with our Product and Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales functions. You'll be working across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape products and their positioning, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product after launch.

In this role, you'll work across multiple teams to tell the Nova story and help customers find the best solutions for their needs. You'll be developing messaging, positioning, and copy for Nova and our solutions, and designing experiments to test improvements and build cohesive experiences across all our customer touch-points.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our customers within our target segments (including by talking regularly with current and prospective customers), and ensure our website and product funnel journeys are organized around their concerns and priorities.

  • Advocate for our existing and prospective customers, be informed about our competitive landscape, and use this knowledge to help shape the product roadmap and strategy.

  • Develop targeted messaging and positioning informed by product understanding, user research, and market insights.

  • Write compelling copy and clear internal docs. This is a very writing intensive role and the bar for your writing is high. You’ll write crisp, vivid prose, with confident control over voice and tone. When necessary, you'll also guide others on the team to improve their writing.

  • Create sales enablement and product marketing content – design, develop and manage internal/external product content (e.g., pitch decks, case studies, videos, product sheets, white papers, blogs, infographics, etc.) and other resources such as sales presentations, product sheets, videos, training tools, FAQs, and case studies

  • Support growth marketing by providing product positioning and any necessary assets

  • Have a test and learn mentality – support the team by being able to pivot quickly and move on from ideas that don’t make good business sense or do not meet client needs

  • Track the right metrics, analyze data, and deeply understand our customer journeys to identify areas of opportunity, executing experiments in highly cross functional environments, and an ownership mentality toward outputs.

  • Consider creative approaches to have impact on core metrics, including bundling, price experimentation, in-product guidance, email marketing, and much more.

  • Think globally as we work to expand our solutions around the world, adapting your understanding of local market needs, competitors, and pricing accordingly.
