About Float
Float Health (YC W22) is a post-seed stage company already exceeding Series A milestones. We’re growing fast and solving a big problem in a big way by building a marketplace that moves as much care as possible from the hospital to the home where it is safer, easier, and cheaper.
We are looking for a Product Designer that is excited to work on both functional and appealing features that have a direct impact on care delivered to tens of thousands of patients.
About you
- Experience in creating design systems from scratch
- Experience with responsive design
- Attention to detail that's borderline OCD
- Keen eye for clean and consistent UI elements
- High level of understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end design
- Growth mindset to execute quickly
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and prioritizing skills

Responsibilities
- Defining, maintaining and developing the design and user experience across mobile and desktop
- Crafting well-polished, efficient and functional user experiences from early concept to final delivery
- Working with the founding team to ensure the design aligns with the company's brand voice and tone
- Working with cross-functional teams to specify the strategic direction of the product experience and ensure user needs are supported throughout
- Championing user-centric design culture, values and principles
- Creating illustrations and iconography as needed to enhance the user experience
Requirements
- An online portfolio showcasing abilities across user experience, user interface, graphic design, web design and responsive design
- BS or MS in Graphic or Web Design
- 5+ years of professional work experience
Hybrid
The majority of our team is remote, but we have recently seen huge progress from working in the same co-working space in Boulder, CO. Preference will be given to anyone in the Boulder/Denver area but ultimately looking for the best person to join the team.
We start all positions as a contract for 3 months that can then transition into a full-time employee if there’s a great mutual fit.
