Robotire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team. As a PLC Programmer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing control systems for our innovative automated tire-changing solutions. Your expertise in programming and configuring programmable logic controllers (PLCs) will contribute to the efficient and reliable operation of our cutting-edge robotic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, program, and configure PLC systems to control the operation of automated tire-changing equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the technical requirements and functional specifications of the robotic systems.
- Design and implement control strategies and logic for optimal equipment performance, including motion control, sensor integration, and communication interfaces.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate PLC systems with robotic components, sensors, and other hardware.
- Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of PLC-related issues during equipment commissioning and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices in PLC programming and automation technologies.
- Document and maintain comprehensive records of PLC programs, modifications, and system configurations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during the design and implementation of PLC systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a PLC Programmer, preferably in an industrial automation or robotics environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming and configuring PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi). (bonus points for Mitsubishi PLC experience)
- In-depth knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and related software tools (e.g., TIA Portal, RSLogix).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus) and their implementation.
- Experience in motion control programming, servo drive integration, and sensor integration is highly desirable.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging PLC systems, analyzing system performance, and implementing corrective measures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable programming.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
