About The Role
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has great initiative, and can accomplish tasks quickly. Additionally he/she is expected to juggle many tasks simultaneously, and successfully balance working as part of a science and engineering team. Successful applicants will also have strong written and oral communication skills. Requires high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Requirements
- Manage daily office operations and handle vendor management.
- Provide administrative support to CEO by managing calendars and coordinating/prioritizing meetings with key external stakeholders.
- Ensure the office is organized and well-stocked.
- Assist with food orders, lunch planning, and logistics for other business-related meetings.
- Help plan and coordinate company events.
- Act as the front desk receptionist, greeting visitors and helping guests.
- Provide general administrative support to team and help with new employee onboarding.
- Help optimize processes, being adaptive to changes.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years of experience as an office manager and/or EA.
- Excitement about joining a fast-growing, early-stage startup.
- Willingness to work in-person in Redwood City Office 5-days per week
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and flexibly.
- Experience prioritizing meetings and events and clearing scheduling conflicts.
- Strong judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Someone who is professional, poised & polished - will be the first point of contact with visitors
- Willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to support the team & company
