Compose AI is looking for a Lead Product Designer to own product design projects from 0 to 1 as we continue to launch new products and features. You’ll serve a vital role here: from creating the experience of new features, to the craft and finish of every detail in the product. We appreciate and are looking for designers who think deeply, speak clearly, love collaboration and feedback, and think typing is overrated. What we’re building isn’t just a simple web app, we’re redefining how humans interact with computers. Think of it like Neural Link without the helmet.
What you’ll do
- Own product design for our suite of AI-assisted products
- Work through complex and ambiguous situations to clarity and focus
- Partner closely with the CEO, Product Managers, and Engineers to define effective solutions to design problems
- Establish a design system for a unified and cohesive product
- Perform user research and usability testing
- Deliver beautiful, production-ready design to engineering
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years of experience in digital product, UX, UI and interaction design
- A strong design portfolio showcasing your approach to solving a variety of complicated problems using best practices of user-centered design, with production examples of products taken from concept to development
- Experience in user research techniques including user interviews and facilitating usability testing
- Ability to clearly communicate research results, distill complex user experience concepts, and communicate design vision to your team
- Experience with a variety of UX design deliverables including prototypes, concept sketches, information architecture, interaction design and interface (UI) design
- Experience collaborating with engineers and delivering required assets and documentation.
- Experience designing both web and mobile applications
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience contributing to and developing a Design System
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to self manage work to be done
- Flexibility in hours available to work for occasional collaboration with global team members
