About the Role
We are seeking an engineering lead to join our platform engineering team. Our philosophy in agile development requires our engineers to be product-centric, as we rely on context sharing rather than perfect specifications to produce intuitive and efficient tools for our team and our clients. We focus on growth, and our lead would take a crucial role in mentoring other engineers and help them tackling more complex design and implementations while leading by example. Your ability to learn and translate experience into different context would be more valued than your specific knowledge in a particular technology or field - we frequently experiment with the latest technologies and tools, and we look for you to be inquisitive and resourceful to string solutions together.
You will:
- Work with product and design to drive product features and implementations
- Own different initiatives from concept to deployment
- Mentor other engineers in both technical reviews and career development
- Make improvements to developer productivity through process and tools implementation
- Provide internal engineering support
- Work with a fully remote and distributed team
You have:
- 5+ years of professional programming experience
- Experience building complex web products in all parts of the stack
- Low ego and high empathy
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- High interest/experience in product + UX design
- High sense of ownership and self-discipline
- (Optional) experience in Python, Django, ORMs, RDBMS
- (Optional) experience in AWS
