MedCrypt is seeking an IT Administrator with specialized expertise in administering and securing end user computing environments and systems. The IT Administrator will work within the Information Security Office to ensure that MedCrypt’s information systems and infrastructure are compliant with defined customer requirements and industry standards for information security, while ensuring those resources meet end users’ business needs. The ideal candidate will be ready to implement a vision from the ground up and to drive the growth and expansion of IT services for MedCrypt employees.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Administering a portfolio of interrelated service offerings focused on delivering centralized, secure workspaces and responsive support to facilitate MedCrypt business.
- Managing day-to-day operations in providing secured End User Computing (EUC) environments, with a key focus on end user experience and implementation of industry-standard security best practices.
- Implementing operational improvements related to end-to-end EUC and support processes.
- Planning and execution of technology projects and programs.
- Evolving and growing the IT support process to serve all employees.
- Managing an internal support service desk in order to own and resolve incidents, requests, and problems.
- Introducing innovative infrastructure and services that improve productivity for all end users while securing sensitive data.
- Evaluating and recommending hardware, software, and managed services solutions for the delivery of operational efficiencies, enhanced capabilities, and information security.
- Managing the functionality and security of end user device hardware (laptops and smartphones) throughout the hardware life cycle.
- Creating and maintaining standard EUC configurations, including build images and application deployment packages.
- Providing administrative oversight for day-to-day user activities in the Google Workspace and Azure/Office 365 administrative consoles.
- Maintaining a secure EUC environment by being proactive and responsive to security vulnerabilities and implementing security controls.
- Producing documentation for configurations, knowledgebase articles, and processes to continuously improve our EUC program.
- Selecting, implementing, and maintaining new management system(s) as needed to manage a growing fleet of Mac, Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, and iOS end user devices.
- Contributing expertise to security policy and compliance discussions, participating in security audits, and championing information security among MedCrypt’s employees.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to implement and manage successful new information security and technology initiatives.
- Significant expertise in selecting, implementing, and administering MDM solutions appropriate for managing MacOS, Linux (Ubuntu), and iOS devices. Bonus: Windows and/or Android device management experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in overcoming challenges inherent in managing Linux (Ubuntu) end user environments to ensure compliance with industry security standards without compromising the unique needs of developers and engineers.
- Experience managing security and functionality for end user device hardware (laptops and smartphones) throughout all phases of the hardware lifecycle, from procurement through end-of-life.
- Experience securely configuring and administering user activities and information security in Google Workspace and Azure/Office 365.
- Experience implementing and managing centralized antimalware solutions for end user environments.
- Familiarity with Zscaler (ZIA and ZPA) preferred.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate across a fully remote, geographically distributed workforce.
