Focal solutions consist of powerful devices in stores that leverage machine learning and computer vision technology.
Infrastructure Software Engineer responsibilities include:
Design and implement new software architectures to support very large scale workloads
Work with other engineering teams to understand the backend needs of their applications and make them a reality
Create tools to provide transparency/ease of access into the company's rich datasets stored across varying geographic locations and data formats
Manage the various distributed services of the company, ensuring to always provide graceful updates, comprehensive test coverage, tracking of logs, and 100% uptime
Infrastructure Software Engineer requirements are:
4+ years experience in an infrastructure role (intern or full time)
Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS / EE / related field
Great understanding of databases, networking, distributed systems, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering practices
Knowledge of big data systems (Hadoop, MR, Spark) a plus
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Swarm, Kubernetes) a plus
