Over the past 2 years, Alloy has built a small but mighty sales team. We’re now looking for a leader to help take the team and Alloy to the next level. Through your leadership and deep expertise in complex sales tactics, you will help us cement our position as a mission-critical element of the ecommerce tech stack. You should be ready to roll up your sleeves in the first two quarters and contribute to ARR significantly as an IC, and then in two to three quarters, start building out the team that will sell our two products (Automation and Embedded).

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to ARR as an IC
  • Build strong revenue ops foundations for the team to accurately understand and predict performance
  • Oversee and ensure successful execution of strategic, complex sales cycles to both brands and SaaS companies with both non technical and technical buyers
  • Create strategic sales plans and continuously experiment with approaches
  • Solidify sales process, including sales engineering and handoff to CS, for our two products
  • Refine ICP focus for both products
  • Create clear guidelines for BDRs and outbounding strategy
  • Create strong feedback loop with marketing team to push out sales learnings and platform use cases into the wild. - - Observe performance and incorporate into sales.
  • Coach AE team on selling, shortening sales cycles, and creating best-in-class process for scaling the team
  • Grow the sales team with additional ICs (AE, BDR, SE) to a team of 6-8 within the first year
  • Grow and maintain 5x target ARR pipeline and create a data-driven culture where we continue to update our understanding of ACV, sales cycle, etc.
  • Establish process alongside partnerships for channel sales and referrals

Skills & experience we’re excited about

  • You have 8+ years of combined hands-on and leadership experience at best-in-class sales organizations. Ideally you’ve joined a startup at seed or Series A before, and played a key role in growing it past Series C.
  • You should have experience selling technical products to both nontechnical and technical buyers, and you should love digging into product details and complexities
  • You should have been at a company and played a role in refining ICP and conducting strategic, complex sales
  • You can run all of sales, not just one piece. You are both an excellent seller yourself, and have managed AEs, BDRs, and SEs
  • You should have been responsible for cross-team communication and process creation in the past.
  • Very high EQ. Should be a well-respected but tough manager-coach.
  • You should strive to be both creative and experimental, and often go beyond the data to re-evaluate our initiatives - with first principles thinking. For example, you should be able to create constructive critiques around outbound campaigns.
  • You have a strong head for numbers and math and can bring rigor around revenue ops, experiment design, etc.
