At Mesh, our Product Marketing team serves the purpose of maximizing Mesh’s growth through powerful storytelling and market insights that help our teams win.

You will have the opportunity to build our corporate narrative setting the stage for our current and future offerings. You will live the customer journey, help us define future innovation, build stories to help us engage customers for long term success all while differentiating us from the competition.

Product Marketing at Mesh sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales. You will be the translator between product and the market, supporting our customer-facing teams and helping them tell a powerful story. Wrapped around all of that is a desire to understand, evangelize, and engage our customers.

Our ideal candidate is a compelling storyteller & creative thinker, able to transform complex needs and solutions into simple differentiated messages, while also having a passion for people demonstrated by successfully growing teams and connecting to customers. You would be responsible to hire and lead a remote team of high performing product marketers inspiring them to grow and build their careers while also helping to prioritize activity within a demanding high growth company.

Key Responsibilities:

Segmentation and Personas:

Constant validation and enablement around our ICP and target buyers, while also exploring new market opportunities.

  • Define, refine, and update our target buyer segments and personas
  • Support research into new market segments, ICPs, personas (collect feedback/info from sales and work together)
  • Maintain internal training tools that provide definitions, positioning, and messaging for our target segments and buyers
  • Create specialized collateral target at specific segments or buyers
  • Define when it makes sense to upsell and cross-sell them to the next level, and ensuring our sales partners are well equipped (through tools and talk tracks) to win deals

Product Positioning and Messaging

  • Lead the development of product messaging and positioning globally, with an eye toward competitive * differentiation across all relevant business categories
  • Develop deep understanding of the voice of our customer/prospect to partner with Product to influence future product development
  • Develop creative ideas that shape our customer engagement, GTM and internal evangelism that are differentiated and help position Mesh as an emerging competitor
  • Own the website, product knowledge hub and allied collaterals, as well as drive development using web development resources

Release Marketing:

Bringing new and updated products to market, taking the lead on launch strategy, planning, timelines and more to ensure maximum impact.

  • Enable email, in-app, and event-based release strategy to enable our clients
  • Coordinate product launch campaigns in partnership with PMs
  • Enable the company with positioning and messaging around each launch
  • Work with Product Team to train and enable customer-facing teams
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to drive enablement campaigns for Mesh admins on platform updates and feature releases
  • Provide direction and support to content team on content and visuals to be used in launch campaigns

Customer Advocacy:

  • Sourcing and creating customer stories across formats like videos, testimonials, and
  • Sourcing and managing customer references for sales team
  • Source and manage customer reviews on G2
  • Enabling the sales and marketing with customer insights and guidance on how to leverage customer stories

Competitive Enablement

  • Maintain our competitive collateral - battle cards, decks, docs, etc.
  • Train and enable the revenue organization on how to compete
  • Run campaigns to maximize our competitive win rate
  • Deal support for high-value deals
  • Manage our analyst relationships (Gartner, Forrester, G2, etc.)
  • Incorporate win/loss insights into competitive content, positioning, messaging, content, etc.

Revenue Teams Enablement

  • Creating/updating the sales pitch decks across the buyer lifecycle
  • Product-focused content like product overviews, competitor comparisons, data-flow diagrams
  • Develop compelling and easy to understand internally facing content for Sales, CS, Operations and others including; sales training, positioning, FAQs, and cheat sheets
  • Buyer or segment-specific collateral
  • Buyer enablement content, like implementation overviews, templates, ROI calculator, maturity assessment, etc.

Requirements

You could be a great fit if you :

  • Demonstrated experience in product marketing that includes messaging and positioning, pricing, competitive analysis and positioning, quantitative and qualitative analysis, product launch management, GTM strategy and sales tool development, leveraging customer and market insights to inform product roadmap, analyst relations, and more.
  • 6+ years experience storytelling and delivering compelling product marketing results in a B2B Software/SaaS organization
  • 3+ years managing individual contributors including hiring, inspiring and leading within a fast paced, remote first, marketing organization
  • Experience managing and developing new marketing programs with clear data driven results, great plus if in a challenger brand
  • Experience collaborating effectively with sales, product, and customer success to achieve results
  • Experience working with demand generation to evaluate business data to deliver high converting programs that result in revenue
  • Experience driving targeted messages in B2B markets with account-based marketing
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives. You’ve managed teams and have experience as a ‘manager of managers’, especially in remote and globally distributed teams
  • A track record of delivery on complex projects, using strong organizational skills and ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Superb excellent written and oral communication skills. This role demands someone who is in love with the spoken and written word, understanding the power that comes from getting it ‘just right’ both online and offline.
