We are seeking an experienced Head of People to help us build a world-class performance culture.
As our first people hire, this role will be instrumental in building and implementing processes and infrastructure to support our people strategies, including but not limited to onboarding, retention, performance management, and career development. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our company culture and ensuring that our employees thrive in a supportive and engaging work environment.
Rinsed has grown 5x YoY to over 1,500 Car Wash locations and, in this role, you’ll have the opportunity to erect the foundations we need to continue scaling our people and our organization to meet the growing demand. The team is currently 35 talented individuals, and this is an opportunity to shape the future of the business, working closely with the CEO and founding team.
As the Head of People, you’ll help us retain and grow the best talent, passionate about bringing best-in-class software to the underserved $15bn Car Wash market.
This position is in-person or hybrid based out of our offices in the West Village, NYC.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage all aspects of the employee journey, from recruitment to onboarding, promotion and long-term career development
- Work closely with the CEO and the rest of the leadership team to define and refine our people strategies, ensuring alignment around the company's goals, mission, vision and values
- Work directly with functional leaders to standardize people processes, ensure consistency across the organization, and identify career development opportunities
- Design and implement effective onboarding programs to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees, enabling them to quickly integrate into the company culture and contribute to their teams
- Oversee performance management initiatives, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs to drive employee engagement and continuous improvement
- Own overall responsibility for human resource operations and compliance
About You
You bring the following experience and expertise:
- 5+ years in a startup or growth-stage SaaS tech company people roles
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective HR processes and infrastructure from scratch, bringing structure and scalability to support a high growth, high performing organization
- Comfortable being very hands-on with daily operations as well as working with leadership at the strategy level
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
- Impeccable project management and prioritization skills while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience managing legal HR requirements and utilizing third-party resources as necessary
- Adaptable in rapidly changing environments with a high degree of comfort in navigating ambiguity
