Job Summary
CrowdAI is looking for a dynamic and independent business operations leader to help scale the company to the next level. This role is an opportunity to define, craft, and execute strategies and processes across all business-facing operations at the company—including people ops, finance, legal, and more.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and other senior leadership to continue to refine and improve existing operations, and invent entirely new ones as needed, all in service of continuing to make CrowdAI an incredible (virtual-first!) place to work. You’ll manage and mentor a small but growing team across many disciplines and interface daily with nearly all parts of the business—keeping the team moving full steam ahead as we radically transform the way people build and use AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, streamline, and execute processes and process improvements to enhance internal-facing operations
- Manage relationships and work for contractors across multiple domains, especially legal and finance
- Turbocharge recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention. Help bring the best talent to CrowdAI
- Collaborate with C-Suite to provide strategic vision for scalable growth of the company, especially as a distributed, remote-first team
- Work with department/team leadership to provide the tools and training needed for each team to perform their best, from BD/Sales to Customer Success to Engineering
- Lead and cultivate Business Operations team to achieve company goals across operational domains
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience managing operations, preferably within tech
- Superior organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail
- Solid process design and implementation skills and experience
- Top-notch, multi-modal communications skills
- Mastery of common ops tools-of-the-trade, especially for startups and tech, e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, etc.
- Experience managing & building a team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Bonus points:
- Startup operations experience and/or management consulting experience
- HR/People Ops experience, especially with common HRIS tools
- Advanced degree, such as MPA, MBA, MS, or equivalent
- Already in the SF Bay Area
