Paragon One is helping corporations become the classrooms of the future for real work. We're a team out of MIT and YCombinator building scalable remote extern programs to upskill thousands of underrepresented students per year on behalf of corporates like Home Depot, Meta, PwC, HSBC, HP, and National Geographic. After a 6-8 week cohort-based extern program, students earn a certificate from the company and get to put the externship under professional experience on their resume. Nearly 80% of students are from underrepresented backgrounds, and we see 1 in 2 students land Fortune 1000 jobs within 6 months of completing an externship. Our platform and process handles recruiting, training, collaboration, workflow management, and assessment.

Are you a savvy, growth-driven marketer looking to make a real impact in the world of education and equity? As our Marketing Manager, you'll play a key role in crystallizing our product-market fit and spearheading our sales and marketing initiatives.

You’ll be responsible for all stages of the customer acquisition lifecycle, but your primary focus will be around (1) growth initiatives for lead generation, (2) digital strategy and content, and (3) product marketing and sales enablement.

You will be involved in many areas of the business, including product management, operations, sales, marketing, customer service - you name it, you’ll help with it. This role is a good fit for a customer centric entrepreneur and business development guru who loves ambiguity and wants to solve problems in equity and education. We want someone who can hit the ground running, knock out quick wins, and quickly drive actionable leads for the sales team.

What you will do:

  1. Be the Brand Architect: Build Paragon One's brand through impactful website design, thought leadership initiatives, press/media engagement, and captivating brand awareness campaigns.
  2. Support the Charge for Growth: Drive qualified leads to our sales team using your creative toolkit, which could include content/inbound marketing, field marketing, and outbound marketing strategies.
  3. Sales Enablement & Product Marketing: Work closely with Sales and Partnership Success to craft compelling messaging and create sales enablement assets that will set us apart in the market.
  4. Customer Experience: Engage in meaningful conversations with our customers to refine our product-market fit, enhance pricing strategies, and elevate our product marketing efforts.
  5. Seize Opportunities: Jump in and lead sales conversations when needed, showcasing your ability to close deals and make an impact.

Your Impactful Journey - Example Tasks:

  1. Build Lead Lists: Identify ideal customers and create targeted lists for outbound marketing.
  2. Content Strategy: Manage our blog, curate thought-provoking content, and develop a winning content strategy across various digital channels.
  3. Define Messaging: Have a strong say around selecting top value propositions and positioning in the market.
  4. Product Marketing & Sales Enablement: Translate our rapid cadence of launches and learnings into easily understandable and attractive content and messaging that drives enterprise interest through our marketing, sales, and customer efforts.
  5. Customer-Centric Marketing: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Partnership Success to create stellar sales enablement and customer marketing assets.
  6. Empower Experiences: Partner with various teams to create delightful experiences for our customers on both sides of our marketplace - students and companies.

Required Qualification:

  1. 4-8 years of full-time professional experience
  2. Excellent communicator, including written and oral
  3. Visual eye for design, capable of producing compelling sales slide presentations
  4. Legal ability to work in the US, based in the USA
  5. Passion for education, equity, workforce mobility, or social impact
  6. Entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoys wearing many hats
  7. Constantly striving for growth and improvement

Bonus points if you have:

  1. Startup experience preferred
  2. B2B/enterprise, education, sales/marketing experience preferred

Compensation:

$85,000 - $110,000 a year Offer includes Significant Stock Options / Equity We give all candidates three package options, with different levels of cash compensation (salary) and stock options (equity). We try to pay competitive salaries and exceptionally strong equity packages, as we want everyone to share in the upside when Paragon One makes it big! Of course, we are an early stage, education startup, and so cash salaries won’t quite be comparable to larger or better funded organizations. But we make up for this in upside, impact, and fun! We also hope our financial discipline gives you confidence in our long-term potential and incredibly low likelihood of layoffs, like many of our less disciplined counterparts.
